ONE BALLOON is a surreal tale of a woman's struggle
against biological time, and her desire to have an education, career and child.
We live in a society built around the biological clocks of men. And, not
surprisingly, there has been little to no work created about women and the
pressures they face living within this society. "One Balloon" seeks to shed
light on this subject by exploring one woman's struggle against biological time. One Balloon is a short 35 mm film that combines live action with traditional stop-motion animation. One Balloon will be the first film to introduce the narrative principals of LUCID REALISM, a narrative strategy developed by filmmakers, Aruna Naimji and Aram Hekinian. Journey into a woman's subconscious to explore themes of identity, duality, sexuality and biological change.
